Move Everyday
Daily movement enhances all aspects of health. When practiced regularly, Everyday Movement imparts the fundamentals needed to maintain physical fitness and enhance mental focus.
Our exercises reflect over twenty years of teaching experience in Pilates gymnasiums, yoga studios, and gym weight rooms. Foundational movement - practiced diligently - is as essential to healthy living as a nutritious diet and restful sleep.
At age 31, I was told to consider a total hip replacement. Today, I can move through my day with ease. Hopefully, you find practicing these exercises equally rewarding.

Dr. Matt has been evolving Everyday Movement since attending his first Pilates class at the Salem, MA YMCA in 2005. His teaching incorporates elements of Contrology, vinyasa yoga, and athletic training. This synthesis leads to a common goal for all classes: encourage ease of movement through uniform development of the body.
A former Cressey Sports Performance intern, Dr. Matt has also taught anatomy and physiology at the college level. In addition to championing Everyday Movement, he works with patients at Trade Street Chiropractic and serves as radiology department faculty at Sherman College.
Whether attending class in-person or practicing at home, the goal remains the same: move better, feel stronger, stay active.
In-Person Classes
Join a small-group class and experience movement in community. Classes are held every Monday at Burn31 Fitness in Landrum, SC.

A foundational class focused on alignment, control, and body awareness. You’ll build strength through simple, effective exercises that improve posture, mobility, and stability.

A dynamic session that builds upon the foundations of Basics, adding more complex movement patterns and strength work to expand range, coordination, and endurance.
